A leased garage on the edge of the neighborhood is an unlikely local gathering spot, but that’s exactly what Beltline Bike Shop has become. It is a place where neighbors, adults and kids alike gather to work on bikes, help others, and spend time together.
Currently, the shop is open three days a week. Although nothing at the shop is free, everyone is invited to use the tools with a donation or earn the supplies needed to fix their bikes.
You’ll usually find “Mr. Tim” at the shop, but you’ll also find other regular volunteers from the surrounding neighborhoods, along with a whole lot of kids changing tires, replacing chains, oiling gears and much more. Kids are there learning that their first responsibility is to take care of themselves, and then to help others.
Though our volunteers all come from nearby, anyone is welcome to drop by during shop hours to have a look at what we do (or repair your own bike!). You’ll be impressed by our budding bike mechanics, developing leaders, and the energy that comes from enjoying a bike.

Please note our suggested donation structure.
Donations do not have to take the form of money – volunteer time at the shop or during a scheduled work day count just the same. But still, no one will be turned away due to the inability to make a donation.
